Confidentiality Agreement

The protection of confidential information is vital to the interests and the success of Spelman. Such confidential information includes, but is not limited to, the following examples:

ü       Student and employee personal information

ü       Compensation data

ü       Computer processes

ü       Computer programs and codes

ü       Financial information

ü       Pending projects and proposals

ü       Research and development strategies

ü       Technological data

All employees are required to sign a confidentiality agreement as a condition of employment.

Employees who improperly use or disclose confidential information will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment and legal action, even if they do not actually benefit from the disclosed information.
