Each paycheck will include earnings for all work performed through the end of the previous payroll period. There may be occasions when overtime pay will be paid in the next pay cycle. Spelman College has the following payrolls:

Bi-weekly Payroll – Employees in the Department of Public Safety and Facilities Management and Services are paid on alternate Fridays.

Semi-monthly Payroll – Administrative staff employees are paid on the 15th and the day before the last banking day of each month.

Monthly Payroll – Senior Leadership Team and faculty are paid on the day before the last banking day of each month.

In the event that a regularly scheduled payday falls on a day off such as a weekend or holiday, employees will receive pay on the last day of work before the regularly scheduled payday.

If a regular payday falls during an employee's vacation, the employee's paycheck will be available upon return from vacation.

Employees may have pay directly deposited into their bank accounts if they provide a direct deposit form. Employees will receive a wage and earnings statement indicating the direct deposit amounts.
