Spelman College Logo Use
Spelman College has adopted official logos and wordmarks for the purpose of marketing the institution to a wide range of constituents in a clear and resonant way. The Spelman College logos/wordmarks must appear on all publications, promotional advertising and electronic communications created on behalf of the College. The logo may also be applied to documents intended for internal use by campus staff.
The official Spelman College logo is the only logo that can be used to represent college departments and programs within the standards outlined in the institution’s visual identity guidelines.
The Spelman College seal is the institutional word mark used for ceremonial purposes by the Spelman College Board of Trustees, including documents related to Commencement, Baccalaureate and Founders Day. It is only to be used on official documents rendered on behalf of the Board of Trustees.
The jaguar logo, the official wordmark for the College’s athletics teams, may only be used for publications, Web pages and products designated to market the teams.
The College logos/wordmarks may not be used as letterhead in lieu of the official Spelman stationery. Units may not design their own letterhead or business cards without approval of the Office of Communications and/or Business and Financial Affairs.
The official College logos/wordmarks may not be modified without approval of the Office of Communications and/or Business and Financial Affairs.
The logos/wordmarks may not be used by any individuals, entities or other organizations without the permission of the College. Spelman College retains all right, title and interest to the Spelman College logo and name.
If you have any questions regarding use of the Spelman College logo, please contact the Office of Communications at 404-270-5899.
